Bio

My name is Jessica, I'm 17 and I live in New York.
I have 2 sisters, 2 cats and a dog.
I love RENT.
I listen to emo, punk, alternative, showtunes, classic rock, and just about everything except for pop, hip-hop, rap, and r&b. However, I have soft spots for some particular pop songs and I think Christina Aguilera has an amazing voice. The only rap artist (if you could call them that) I will put up with is Eminem. Sean Paul makes me want to kill myself.
I'm your classic messed-up-in-the-head girl but I'm smarter than your average maniac. There is a fine line between genius and insanity.
I love to read and my favorite authors are Sylvia Plath, Marya Hornbacher, and Virginia Woolf. Girl, Interrupted was an awesome movie and book. My favorite book of all time, though, is The Bell Jar.
I have passions for play-doh, crayons, seltzer, Diet Coke, Diet Dr. Brown's Cream soda, Diet Dr. Pepper, and New York City.
Right now, I'm a junior at Albertus Magnus. Next year I'll start my freshman year of college (and senior year of high school) at RCC and in 2005, I plan to transfer to the NYU Steinhardt School of Education. I hope to become a special ed teacher.
I love writing letters, and even moreso, I love receiving letters so send me some mail.
I tend to procrastinate and I can be lazy.
I'm 99% sure that I have Bipolar II disorder but that will be for Dr. Tarle to decide.
I am bothered by homophobics, radical pro-lifers, Coca Cola Classic and other "regular" sodas, not wearing a watch, people who reapply their makeup 11 times during a 4-hour party, other people fidgeting, other people breathing, and smelly people.
I am phobic of snakes and very very very freaked out by worms. I don't like bugs or reptiles or amphibians very much either. Nor do I like doctors.
I am a baptized Catholic but there is so much of the religion that I don't agree with that I don't know what I really am, if I am anything.
I write a lot in my journal..sometimes about random things, sometimes about important things, sometimes about my day, about my feelings, about my likes and dislikes. And sometimes I make filtered and friends-only entries because I don't feel comfortable sharing everything with everybody.
I have a paid account, for now, but I have no more codes to give out, so don't ask.
On that pleasant note, I can't think of anything more to say, and if I can, it'll be in my journal.

smalliam one of my best friends who i've known since 8th grade. now she goes to clarkstown south and enjoys drinking and smoking more than the other members of our group (christine, tiffany, me). despite our different preferences of "fun," she is my renthead for lyfe.
christine - aka teeny. another one of my best friends. i've known her since 8th grade too, but didn't really become close with her till 9th, and especially the summer before 10th grade. she and i have a lot of "robin hill memories" from the summer before last that still constantly resurface, and we have a lot of references to camp (robin hill, that is).
tiffany -

tiffykins yet another one of my best friends. i've known her since 9th grade and we get in more fights than anyone else i know. people say we act like we're married, and maybe it's true. i know i can be a bitch to her, but that's just my personality, and she takes it from me so well. she also worked with christine and me at robin hill, but she didn't work in the same age group as we did, so we don't have as many camp memories. tiff and i love shopping in the village together, but she hates coming into hot topic with me when i want bracelets. the music makes her uncomfortable.
kathleen - i just met her last year, 10th grade, at albertus. we have a lot in common (good and bad things) and she is probably one of the people i trust the most. we always manage to have an interesting time together even though most of the time, we're actually doing nothing.
stacey - i really just started talking to her this year, but i've known her since last year -- not that she remembers me or anything. we enjoy tormenting our conservative classmates by singing about sodomy and discussing penises.
barbara - unfortunately, i hardly ever see this girl anymore. i've known her since first grade but she moved to newburgh and we see each other maybe once or twice a year. it's really sad because i love her to death. we always manage to have a good time when we're together.
mariana -

idontsparkle of all the people who i'm friends with (aside from barbara), mariana is the one i've known the longest. we've been friends since fourth grade, with some off-years inbetween. i used to be an idiot when i was younger and anyone who spent that much time with me THEN and still is friends with me NOW is an amazing person.
jenna -

taintedbunny i only talk to her online, but she is an awesome person and she always has something to say, and more than often, it appears in my journal.
paula - she is one of the sweetest people. she lives in massachusetts and i am really excited because she's coming to visit me over spring break!!!!
christina - aka tina. i only really started talking to her this year, but she's gonna be stacey's and my roommate on the washington trip. i hang out with her, jess b, and jamie h in the mornings when i don't have band. she ice skates at sport-o-rama and i see her there when i go to the gym at lifeplex.
stefanie - aka stef or shmeff or mcshmeffigan. she was one of my first friends at albertus. she used to go to camp at rockland center for the arts and i hope she comes and works there this summer with me. we go to SAT class together on sunday mornings at kaplan in nanuet and we have as much fun as we can possibly have, sitting in a classroom learning math and english for three hours. she is a theater geek like me, only she can sing, so she's cooler. she's only seen rent once, but she's seen les mis and ate dinner with the cast! viva la vie boheme!
jamie m - usually referred to as jamie and sometimes as seamus mctiernan. i love this girl to death...speaking spanish with her is awesome. she is definitely fun to attempt to corrupt. she's gotta be one of the sweetest people i will ever come across, though she does have a vengeful side.
jess - she is kinda ditzy but we love her for it, usually. she likes to be in the middle, and basically enjoys being the center of attention. which is cool, because she sings rent with me.
jess b - we have a whole bunch of classes together and we always act really stupid but enjoy it. yay.
jamie h - i don't really talk to her much, but we hang out in the mornings.

missingfiona last year, i honestly didn't know who she was. i have a few classes with her this year, and she's really cool. most of the times she's mentioned are because of something she said in her lj that really sparked my interest (tegan and sara, for example) or something that happened in school (like spazzing out. that, of course, is a good thing.)

your_red_shoesi talk to her considerably a lot more this year than i did last year...but then again, i talk to everyone more than i did last year. we definitely have the most interesting time in mr. skelly's class...but with that man, who wouldn't have an interesting time? there are times when she totally cracks me up.
jacqui - she's another person i just started talking to this year, and i'm glad i did. she's an awesome person + i love her sense of style + she likes the lunachix!
evania - she's two years younger than me and is actually in my sister's grade, but i hang out with her a lot more than tara does. she's on teeny's and my bowling team. she's obsessed with a.j. and is definitely loud. she is also currently obsessed with rufio. brother = matthew, sister = cortney. family = cabillis.
a.j. - 8th grade boy who goes to st. pauls and is really good at bowling. evania is in love with him.
steve - aka parker or evania's bro. he's not really evania's brother. he's awesome though 8o)
christine sanon - she's in my spanish class...and often says or does something spontaneous and funny...and i often comment about it in my journal.
lucy - tara's friend. psychotic redhead. insanely smart. lives in columbia county, ny now but she used to live down the road.
diana - another one of tara's friends. jappy, weird.
samantha - tara's friend who calls 24/7. she's jonathan's sister. she insists that she's not a jap. and she likes chicken teriyaki.
jonathan - aka jon. we used to have a lot of fun in 8th and 9th grade...i think he's the only perosn with a cracked-out sense of humor that's remotely similar to mine.
navi - real name = navtej. he's indian. he's awesome. i miss him :(
elena - good friends with mariana and jonathan. she was in my kindergarten class.
leah - she's been friends with christine for a long time, but i just started hanging out with her this year. she's a really fun person.
darcy - oh my god, i love this girl to pieces. she's half of my sandwich.
angela - one of the few "normal" people at albertus. i adore her. she's such a sweetheart yet blunt and funny at the same time.
sarah - my oldest cousin on my dad's side. i've been pretty close with her since 8th grade, but i don't talk to her all that much now.
tommy - my older cousin, sarah's brother, such a funny guy. i don't see him nearly enough.
danny - my 15-year-old cousin on my dad's side. he's the sweetest kid i know. i wish he were my brother.
emily - my youngest cousin. she's so smart and so adorable. when she's older, she's going to be absolutely GORGEOUS, not to mention extremely bright. every guy is going to want her.
audrey - my oldest cousin on my mom's side. she's soo smart like amazingly. i hardly ever see her but she's awesome.
lisa - my older cousin, audrey's sister. she's extremely cool and i hope she moves back to washington dc so i can visit her.
tara - my 14-year-old sister. she's on the diving team and has some weird friends (lucy, diana, samantha, dana, katelyn, rachel)
shannon - my 10-year-old sister. she's on the swim team and also has some weird friends (isabel, isabelle, cortney, natalie, rachel)
